Short version: your PDFs never leave your device. We don't collect them, store them, or send them anywhere. Here are the details.
PDFShore runs entirely in your browser. When you compress a file, the work happens locally on your device. Nothing gets uploaded to our servers, because we don't have file-handling servers.
Standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) when you load the site, kept for a short period for security. Optional analytics only run after explicit consent, with no personal identifiers and no cross-site tracking.
We use a cookie to remember your theme choice (light or dark). If you accept ads, the ad provider may set its own cookies. See the Cookies page for details.
We show ads from Google AdSense to keep the site free. In regions where consent is legally required, we use Google Funding Choices to collect and honor your ad consent choices. Ads never appear over your file content.
Since we don't collect personal data tied to your files, there's nothing to export or delete on our side. For browser-level data (theme cookie, cache), clear it from your browser settings.
Questions about privacy: hello@pdfshore.com.
Because your files stay on your device, PDFShore avoids the data transfers and storage that the GDPR regulates. We're not formally certified, but the architecture removes the data flows the regulation restricts.
